Heartbeat!

Today was our first visit with the nurse practitioner. I caught my first glimpse of the stirrups, just another reason that I'm glad to be a man. The highlight of the visit was hearing the baby's heartbeat , it sounded a little like someone had a piece of sheet metal and was waving it back and forth (if that makes any sense). It was kind of funny because the nurse would find a good solid heartbeat and then it would start to fade because the baby kept moving. It's heartbeat was very fast, which according to old wives-tales means it will be a girl, but we'll see. Our next appointment is the beginning of October where we'll meet with our Doctor.
