Our Garden
We are pretty pleased with our first attempt at planting a garden. It is a miracle to watch a seed grow into a huge plant and produce vegetables and fruit. It has been a neat process to watch. Everything has done really well except our onions. We have gotten tons of zuchinnis, and cherry tomatoes. Our other tomato plant is doing pretty good and we harvested lots of lettuce too. We have about 10 pumpkins so far and about 3 watermelons that are growing. We hope that the pumpkins won't be ready to harvest until at least the end of September or we will have lots of pumpkins too early. Our asparagus and strawbery plants are doing well, so hopefully next year we will have some strawberries and maybe asparagus too.
Noelle is showing off our giant zuchinni and some cherry tomatoes from our garden.
Choo Choo Train
Noelle is at such a fun age. She is talking like crazy and loves to play pretend. One day when I put the chairs in the living room so I could mop the kitchen I found Noelle playing "choo choo train" with her animals and doll. She had got my wallet and gave them each so money and then went by to collect their 'ticket' from them and said as she collected the ticket "thank you, thank you".
One of the things that our nephew Ryan loves to do when he comes to Topeka is go to the police station. Since Mike knows a detective he always is so nice to give us a tour of the station.
Noelle got her own police badge sticker.

Noelle, Tanner and Ryan listening to an officer show us his police dog.
Fourth of July
This year for the Fourth of July, there was lots of our family here visiting. Two of Mike's sisters and their families, Morgan, and my mom was here to help us celebrate. Noelle also got to be in her first Fourth of July parade with lots of her cousins. This is a picture of all of Mike's family before the parade began.
Noelle and her cousin Kiersten before the parade.
Noelle and Mike at the end of the parade. I think he had to carry her most of the way.
This was our 4th of July cake. My mom made the cake and I decorated it.
Cousins!
Over the summer Noelle had 10 cousins come to visit from out of town. Noelle loved having her cousins come over one night for a sleep over.
Kiersten built Noelle a little house out of a cardboard box.
Making Mandu
Noelle and my mom making mandu(pot stickers). My mom came and stayed with us for a little more than a month at the beginning of summer. It was lots of fun having her with us. We miss you Granmama.

Noelle's New Trick
Last night Nicole was at a sleepover with some young women from our church, which meant I got some quality Daddy-Daughter time! We were getting ready for bed and Noelle had gotten my Book of Mormon and was sitting on our bed pretending to read, so I got out the camera (she loves the video camera). I had to turn the view finder towards her because she likes to watch herself in it, so please excuse the super close up of her face. She has become quite the little talker, and counter for that matter. She needs a little help every now and then, but she can get all the way up to 10 all by herself (thanks to tutoring from Gramama).
