Our Little Sweetheart
The other day we went for Noelle's 2 year checkup. She hasn't gained hardly any weight from 6 months ago (she eats so much!)which puts her at 10%-25% at 23 3/4 lbs. She is 33 3/4 inches (50%) and is healthy! It seems that everyone is sick! I'm crossing my fingers that she doesn't get the flu too!
I wanted to write down somethings about Noelle at 2 years old so that I wont forget all the fun things she is doing at this age.
*favorite foods - rice and furikake, saimin, oranges, green beans, cheese, yougurt and popcorn
*favorite things to do - playing tea party, play-doh, watercolors, reading books, watching movies (her new favorite is Peter Pan), snuggling with mom(my favorite!), singing (wheels on the bus, eensy wensy spider, popcorn popping), helping mom wash dishes and cook, carrying around her purses, practicing her back-float in the bath tub, trying to get into the bathroom while Dad is using it, giving Dad hugs when he comes home from work, watching Dad shave (not too much shaving going on right now though), going to the zoo, talking on the phone with anyone that will listen (which is mostly Gramama and Papa Tenn), playing with Oreo, and playing outside.
*new things she has learned - how to count to three, recognizing black, green and blue and the letter A says "aaah".
Noelle is such a loving, happy, outgoing, adventurous little girl. She definetly has a fun personality and makes me smile everyday. It is so hard for me to believe that Noelle is already two years old. It has gone by so quickly! I always remember not wanting to Noelle to get older, but as she gets older she is becoming so much more fun. She is really starting to talk alot and it is so much fun having coversations with her. She is my little sunshine and I love spending my days with her playing and hanging out. She is truly a blessing to me!
Play-doh
Noelle's new favorite thing to do is to play with play-doh. My sister gave her some when we went to Hawaii and she loved it! So for birthday she got tons of play-doh and two play-doh sets. Everyday she asks me to get the play-doh out and has even learned that she needs to put one color away before she gets another color out (I'm weird about not liking the colors to get mixed up).
Noelle loves all the play-doh tools she got for her birthday. She especially loves to cut the play-doh using the knife and also likes making sea creatures with her octopus set.
Of all the colors of play-doh she got for her birthday (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Eldridge!) she usually chooses blue or black. Unfortunatly, I think that her favorite color is black. Even when she uses watercolors she chooses to paint 95% of her paintings using black.

Sunday Walk
We decided to go for a walk on Sunday afternoon since it was supposed to be about 50 degrees. I was excited since it was supposed to be warm. The sun was shining and it looked beautiful outside. After walking for about a minute, I decided that our long walk was going to have to be a short one. It was freezing outside! Although it was cold, Noelle had lots of fun walking Oreo and getting outside. I can't wait for the weather to warm up!
Happy Birthday Noelle!
On Saturday we had a birthday party for Noelle's 2nd birthday. I decided to have a Curious George theme for the party. Noelle loves Curious George and she reminds me of Curious George. She's cute, and very, very, curious about the world around her and she is always getting herself into trouble just like Curious George. Anyways, it was fun to see Noelle so happy to see her friends and so excited to open her presents. I can't believe my little girl is 2!
This is the Curious George cake I made for Noelle's birthday. I made bananas with the names of Noelle's little friends that came for her birthday party.
Noelle kept trying to blow out her candles before we finished singing to her. She loved being sung to, and has started to sing the "Happy Birthday" song. When we finished singing she had no problems with blowing out her two candles by herself.
"It's finger lickin' good!"

Noelle loved opening her presents!
Noelle telling her friend Jacob that she is two years old.
Hello!
Noelle loves to talk to her Grandpa and Granmama in Hawaii everyday!
Welcome Home!
Last Saturday Night there was a snow storm that welcomed me home from Hawaii :( The storm made the roads pretty bad so we had no church on Sunday. This has been a pretty cold winter. When I was in Hawaii, Mike said it snowed at least 8 inches! I can't wait for Spring!

Coming Home
Our two week visit to Maui went by so fast. We caught a redeye flight out of Hawaii and luckily Noelle and I slept most of the trip home. She had fun making her doll we named Lehua dance while we listened to the ipod. It was so nice to see my family and get to spend so much time with them. Noelle will miss being able to play outside everyday and eating all kinds of yummy food. We miss you and hope to see you again soon!
We had so much fun drawing with sidewalk chalk on the driveway. My dad always refered to us as the "graffiti artists".
"I'm ready to go to the beach!"
Noelle enjoying the sunshine and beach before we headed home.
Noelle liked piling sand on Papa Tenn's shoulders.
Since we had so much fun going the Ocean Center, we decided to get a week pass so we could go again.
This one stringray really liked Noelle. It kept circling around her about five times.
Noelle loved touching the sea urchins in the tidepool.
Noelle had so much fun helping Papa Tenn and Grandmama clean the yard in the mornings. She especially loved watering the grass and dirt with the watering can. She will definetly miss going outside in only a diaper and t-shirt.
One one of our last days to the beach, Noelle found a coconut laying on the sand and she picked it up and put it in the ocean.

I love the beach!
The other day we finally was able to go the the beach for the first time since we have been here. It has been really rainy since we have been here which is really unusual for this part of the island. Luckily it has been beautiful since then. When we first stepped on the beach, Noelle loved the feeling of the sand. She would walk around and kick the sand in back of her. She also loved running to the ocean and picking up sand and putting it on a pile of sand that I was trying to make a turtle with. I got tired just watching her run back and forth from the beach to the ocean.
After we played in the sand for a while, Noelle went and got her floaty and headed straight for the ocean. I was suprised that she remembered what it was for since we haven't used it since summer.
Noelle loved being in her floaty. She didn't want me to hold it, and loved being able to be free. She is a little big for it so when she would lean forward in it, the whole floaty to follow her. For some weird reason she really liked the taste of the salt water. If you look closely you can see her sticking her tounge out to get a taste.
