We have been married for five and a half years and are blessed with two beautiful girls. Noelle is three and Maile was born in April 2009. After living in Hawaii for a year after college we made a big move to Kansas where we now live. Mike works for Sunflower Marketing
and will be attending Washburn University here in town to get his MBA. Nicole enjoys spending her days home witn Noelle. Life is good!
Today we went to the Shawnee County Fair. We went so that Noelle could see all the animals. There were turkeys, bunnies, roosters, ducks, goats, sheep, and a cow. We had lots of fun.
Today we went to Googles of Fun with some of Noelle's cousins. It is a place with lots of activities and toys for kids to play with. Noelle had lots of fun being able to run around and touch almost anything she wanted.
Today while we were swimming, Noelle watched her cousins jumping off the diving board. She decided that she wanted to jump off too. So she walked to the diving board, climbed up and with some help jumped in.
Mike's niece and nephew, Reagan and Ryan slept over at our house. Ryan wanted to go and meet some firefighters and see where they work, so we took them to a fire station where one of Mike's friends work at. They had lots of fun!
The other night we went to the lake with some of Mike's family who is visiting from out of town. Noelle is becoming "Miss Independent". She really likes to do things on her own. She loves to feed the geese at the lake, but its so hard because she pulls her hand away so she can feed them herself and the geese are kind of mean!
Tonight we went to the Fiesta Mexicana parade in downtown Topeka. We had fun watching the parade and getting lots of candy! This is Noelle eating popcorn and patiently waiting for the parade to begin.
Noelle loved waving at all the people in the parade and had fun getting lots of candy, a balloon, beads and lots of other stuff from people in the parade.
Noelle got this cool hat thing. I felt silly after I took this picture because after looking at everyone else wearing it, I realized I put it on her backwards.
Today we got to go to a Martin Tractor show. Martin Tractor is one of Mike's clients that he does business with at work and they invited us to come to one of their shows. We got to ride in this huge tractor. It was alot more high tech then I thought it would be. It had a GPS system that somehow the driver could program and the tractor would pretty much drive itself. I felt like a little kid on a field trip asking the farmer all kinds of questions about harvesting crops while we were riding in the tractor in the wheat field.
When we went riding on the tractor, we got to see wheat being harvested. One tractor was reaping the wheat and then emptied it out into another tractor.
