Fiesta Mexicana
Every year the Mexican/Spanish community throws a
fiesta and invites the rest of the city of Topeka. They normally kick of the fun with a parade, which Nicole and I attended this year. Following the parade we went to a free concert put on by
Jo Dee Messina (Bye bye, My give a darn's busted, etc...). The parade was awesome and the concert rocked. We managed to wiggle our way up to some really good seats.
This is where we started the concert.
This is where we ended up, that's Jo Dee by my left ear.

Mike as the parade goes by sporting his Cocina Filipina shirt on, man he misses there hot pandesal!
The parade went from pure country...
...to straight up gangsta.
Marissa, Madison, Unknown girl, and Courtney all take swimming lessons from us. They were all part of the "Casa de Brownies."

Oreo sporting one of his many necklaces that have been made for him by our nieces. If we put them all on him at once he looks a little like Mr. T.

4th of July Parade
The morning of Independence day our neighborhood has a parade for people to participate in. The girls decided to take Oreo along for the excitement (even though his head wasn't on straight). It was a great way to start out the holiday.
And they're off!
Oreo's Dogsitter
Nicole and I went on a date the other night and left Oreo in Kiersten's care. She made him feel right at home. She shared her pillow and blankie with Oreo and is seen here making him his very own necklace.

Everyone wanted to lend a hand when we gave Oreo a bath, I think he has enjoyed all of the extra attention.

Big Dub to Miami
This is a picture of Wayne Simien waving to us. Mom, Nicole, and Me went to Leavenworth, KS to watch the NBA Draft where a bunch of Wayne Simien/Jayhawk fans were. After he was drafted by the Heat he stopped by to say thanks for the support. We were hoping to get closer to him, but he had an appointment in
Miami the next day.
